Change the Way You Talk to Yourself. Seriously.

Use Empowering Words When You Talk to Yourself, (whether you are speaking out loud or silently)

How do you talk to yourself?

Do you use the words “can’t”, “won’t”, “don’t need to”, “why try”? Many people do.

Do you find that what you say to yourself turns out to be true? Why is this?

You see your brain is like a computer that you feed each day. It doesn’t always know what’s real or not unless you tell it.

Example: If someone you love has hurt you, you may tell yourself that all people who love you will probably hurt you too. You may not even be aware that you are doing this.

Your brain just files this information for reference, it’s data, little zeroes and ones and no column that asks “true or not true?” Now your brain thinks, based on what you told it, that everyone you’ll ever love will hurt you. At the very least it is using this data in its assessment of future situations.

Now, what if we instead told our brain:

“Okay this person ripped my heart out – but that’s only one person. I’m lovable and have many loving people in my life who are not out to hurt me. I know that the right people are coming into my life all the time. If someone hurts me, I will forgive them and bless them on their way.”

Words can be empowering.

I can

I love to

I want to

I will

I must

I am

We can attain a greater quality of life if we feed ourselves empowering words and practice saying them until they become a habit.

I know first hand that it takes time. And I also know that it’s worth it.

Try it for a week. Catch yourself saying, “I can’t”, when you don’t really mean it and instead try, “I can”, and see how you think and feel about yourself.

Remember, the words you use to empower yourself will have a lasting effect, only if you practice them and they become a habit (an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary).

They say it takes at least 28 days to develop a habit. After a week, you will see that it becomes easier. It’s a mindset and you can control your thoughts. Be proactive and not reactive – give yourself some good words.

Dream big and empower yourself! Believe you can and you will.

Most of all, CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY!

A REQUEST WITH MEMBERS POSTING NEW TOPIC

Dear friends,

It has been noticed that friends who post a new topic

do not care to reply on other friend's post which has been there BEFORE

the new one they post afresh, and the earlier post being with zero replies.

Thus the one posted with zero replies goes down and gradually goes to

the back pages without any reply.

So those friends who post NEW topics are kindly requested to first

reply on a post which has NOT YET BEEN REPLIEDbefore posting their NEW POST.

I will take an example, like superstar posted 5 new posts yet there was one post here which had zero

replies and which had reached the 10th position already!!

It would have been very nice if he replied on the existing post which was posted before his'

then he posted his 5 topics.

Friends must think that like they wish to get replies on their posts others do expect the same.

we reply on friend's posts to encourage them to post more and thus we encourage then by saying cute

thanks words and show our appreciations.

thanks to one and all.

COURTSHIP

about him or her.

Women often get so excited about men who show interest in them, are handsome, flattering and show good manners. They “jump the gun” and begin thinking as though this is the man of their dreams. Quite often, these eager women learn that the man of their dreams ends up becoming the devil of their nightmares. Same is true with men who are attracted with women who are sexy, pleasant, very feminine and seem vulnerable. Often too late, men find that the woman isn’t all that she seemed to be in the early days of the courtship.

Some carry red flags that should warn any thinking person to pull back immediately and get away before becoming entangled in a relationship that can only bring grief and torment.

What causes some people (women especially) to plunge into an ill-advised relationship is desperation of never finding a mate. Despite the obvious warning signs, these individuals rush forward like waves of soldiers with intent on dying rather that retreating. Friends look on in horror as they pursue the relationship despite their warnings. Sooner rather than later, they watch helplessly as they crashed and perished.

Some men or women (young ones especially) do not understand that a relationship is a serious matter that can have far-reaching negative consequences. Young people look at love as very desirable when it is done right and it fails as often as it succeeds, at least.

A number of women think they can change a man. They become overly excited over their new-found love that the heady feelings it generates cause them to overestimate their capabilities and to distort reality in order to fit it into their dreams. In the end, they find themselves trapped in an undesirable or worse relationship regretting the day they met the man they fell in love with.

Sad to say, many of these warning signs are clearly visible to anyone who cares to see. But the problem is that when the love bug bites, it causes temporary blindness that often spells disaster. If only people could spot these red flags and have the discipline to step back before love-blindness sets in, they would spare themselves a lot of pain and trouble.

A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Kantzer mentioned to a cashier that they were about to celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary. The cashier said, "I can't think of any man I'd like to live with for 48 years." Mrs. Kantzer replied, "Well, don't marry until you do." That is good advice!

God intends that marriages should last a lifetime. That's why we must choose our life's partner with great care. Even when we make that choice thoughtfully and prayerfully, however, we don't automatically live happily ever after. We must work hard to maintain a good relationship by being unselfish, forgiving, helpful, understanding and kind to one another.

My wife and I have been married 50 years. At our wedding, someone sang a song that included these words: "When we're old and we're gray, we'll be loving the same, we earnestly pray." Well, that is true in our lives. Ginny and I are still very much in love. Yes, we have our disagreements, but we know our relationship is for life. We always try to be forgiving, helpful and kind. And we would be happy for another 50 years.

Some say that marriages are made in heaven. Maybe so, but we must choose carefully and be diligent to maintain our relationship each day. That's the basis for a lifelong happy marriage.

Reflection: A happy marriage requires falling in love many times ..... with the same person.

Tips For Better Living

Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life—learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.

Don't worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge;that myth is more potent than history;that dreams are more powerful than facts;that hope always triumphs over experience;that laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.

I've always thought anyone can make money. Making a life worth living, that's the real test.

If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire, then you have a problem. Everything else is inconvenience.

Peace is not something you wish for; it's something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away.

Play fair. Don't hit people. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.

Sticks and stones will break our bones, but words will break our hearts.

The examined life is no picnic.

The world does not need tourists who ride by in a bus clucking their tongues. The world as it is needs those who will love it enough to change it, with what they have, where they are.

FATHER....................

A "father" is someone who:

motivates his child to learn,

develops a child's sense of humor,

holds your hand at the fair,

takes you to sports or dance recital,

makes sure you do what your mother says,

holds back your hair when you are ill,

brushes that tangled hair when mother is occupied,

lets you drink soda instead of milk for breakfast

but only if mother is not around,

calmly walks you down the aisle,

and assures you everything will be fine.

"HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE FATHERS, DADS OR GRANDDADS."

Dress Up For Job Interviews

When we talk about interview for "corporate" jobs, it has to be really formal and classic. Keep in mind that the summer trend does not apply at all.

For women, skirt and blazer or skirt and blouse are preferable. However, if they are not comfortable, wearing pants or slacks is fine. No particular styles or cuts on clothes. Skirt should be knee-length or below the knee. Not too much prints, not too showy, not too sexy and not too informal.

For men, if it’s corporate, of course, coat is most appropriate. If it’s not corporate, to wear a necktie is okay. Prints for necktie, stripes, dotted or plain colors are preferable.

Remain poised

We can't just looked good on our clothes but also with perfect hair or hairdos and proper make-up.

For women, the hair should be clean, in a pony tail or if they want it loose to make sure to have headband or a clip. For the make-up, it should be very light and not too dark.

For men's hair, it should be clean cut or trimmed and should put gel.

For summer days, just bring a jacket. If it’s time for the interview, then you can wear the jacket.

Come prepared for the interview. Make sure your resumé is written perfectly. Do some research about the company and its objectives.

Be relaxed and confident. Be comfortable and should not be tensed. Love what you wear because it will really reflect on you.
